Prosecutors have asked for 10 months in prison for a brother-in-law who was put on trial for spreading false information about broadcaster Park Soo-hong's private life.
The prosecution asked for the crime today (11th) at the Seoul Western District Court, saying that Lee, in his 50s, defamed the victim by making a fatal false statement.
He added that Lee denies the crime and does not reflect on it, and that the victim wants strong punishment.
Earlier, Lee was put on trial on charges of sending a message containing false facts such as "I lived with a woman when I appeared on the show" in a social media group chat room with the aim of slandering Park.
Apart from this case, Park Jin-hong, Lee's husband and Park Soo-hong's brother, was sentenced to two years in prison in the first trial for siphoning off billions of won in company money and personal funds in charge of his younger brother's management.
