Israel Defense "Not All About Removing Nasrallah"...a ground war suggestion

Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galant hinted at a possible ground war in Lebanon following the removal of Lebanese militant Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah, local media reported.

"Removing Nasrallah is a very important step, but that's not all," Gallant said while addressing soldiers of the 188th Armored Brigade and the Golani Infantry Brigade under Israel's Northern Command, according to the Times of Israel.

"We will use all the capabilities we have," he said.

The Israeli military announced on the 27th that it had killed the Hezbollah command, including Nasrallah, in a residential building in the Dahiye region, a Hezbollah stronghold in southern Lebanon's capital Beirut.

Since then, Israeli forces have continued to bomb Lebanon, gathering tanks and other troops on the northern border, poised for ground war.

Israel deployed ground forces to Lebanon in 2006 to wage an all-out war against Hezbollah.

At the time, Israeli forces deployed troops to Lebanon to rescue two soldiers kidnapped by Hezbollah, but lost 121 troops and ended the fighting in 34 days.
