A woman's story has been told that she suffered from aftereffects from touching her artery while undergoing surgery at a famous plastic surgery clinic in Gangnam, Seoul.
According to a JTBC report on the 22nd, the informant A received double jaw fat inhalation and thread lifting procedures at a famous plastic surgery clinic in Gangnam, Seoul in December 2022.
A said, "The hospital doctor recommended doing it at the same time, so we proceeded with it together," and added, "But when I went to the pharmacy in the hospital building, my face hurt like it would explode and was severely swollen, so I thought it was a symptom that appeared right after the procedure, so I passed it lightly."
A co-worker who saw A's face at the time said, "I don't think this is a swelling caused by plastic surgery. Hurry up and go back to the hospital," he advised.
Mr. A, who went straight to the hospital because he didn't think he could breathe anymore, lost his memory.
A said, "I opened my eyes, maybe in the operating room, and I was artificially drilling a hole in my jaw there and squeezing blood out," adding, "I was fine, but I couldn't breathe, so I couldn't lift a finger." He explained the situation at the time, saying, "I had an oxygen respirator in my mouth and my airway was almost blocked."
"I pressed my tongue with my fingers to prevent the nurses from suffocating," he said. "I wish I had gone to the emergency room of another hospital quickly, but it was delayed because I did it at that hospital without any action, so it was repeated for six hours."

Mr. A was shocked when he took off the medical records late. Mr. A said, "The record says that the bleeding was caused by arterial damage. When I saw it, I felt really betrayed, he said. "I never heard that my artery was damaged. Why didn't you talk to the doctor? When I asked if I was about to die, the doctor said, "We wouldn't have died because we dealt with it quickly."
The hospital is found to be claiming that the artery was not damaged by the procedure.
Two years later, A is reportedly filing a criminal complaint and a compensation lawsuit against the plastic surgery clinic. However, due to medical strikes, evaluations of evidence such as medical records and physical evaluations necessary for claiming damages have been delayed.
A said, "I'm going to the hospital, but I heard there's no way to treat it anymore, so I'm just waiting for it to get better," adding, "I regret that I only trusted the doctor's recommendation and performed the procedure." He added, "I don't want other women to take this lightly because any procedure can be life-threatening."
