Anger at Spain's worst disaster...Protests chanting 'killer' to the king

2024.11.03 PM 11:10
Public anger is growing in Spain, where more than 210 people have died in the worst natural disaster in the country's history.

When Spain's King Felipe VI visited the flood-hit area of Valencia Piporta on the 3rd local time, citizens protested by swearing "murderers" and throwing mud and objects.

Public anger is growing as the government has failed to expedite rescue and recovery efforts following poor disaster response, such as issuing disaster alerts on mobile phones two hours late, media said.

With at least 214 people killed in Spain's deadliest floods in modern history, the number of victims is expected to rise further as many are still missing.
