Hive posted 527.8 billion won in sales in the third quarter of 2024 on a consolidated basis.
Hive said today (5th), "Although the release of albums by artists of Hive Music Group was delayed due to the impact of the Olympics, indirect participatory sales, which reflect the performance of artists' intellectual property (IP)-related businesses, showed a significant increase and led to the performance."
As a result, Hive's cumulative sales in the third quarter of this year exceeded 1.5 trillion won. Following last year, the green light was turned on to achieve the KRW 2 trillion mark for the second consecutive year.
Out of Hive's sales of 527.8 billion won in the third quarter, direct participatory sales such as record labels, performances, and advertisements amounted to 323 billion won. In the third quarter, despite the global event called the Olympics, it maintained solid performance thanks to the performances of various Hive Music Group artists, including ENHYPEN, Boy Nextdoor's album sales growth, Newzins Japan's debut single million seller, and BTS Jimin and Le Seraphim's good music performance.
Indirect participatory sales such as MD, licensing, content, and fan clubs rose 32% year-on-year to 204.9 billion won. In particular, sales in the content sector showed a high growth rate of 64%, thanks to the success of Cats Eye debut documentaries and Seventeen concert films.
