Gyeonggi Province said it has given detailed addresses to 3,890 buildings and 27,297 households, including dosshouses where crisis households live this year.

The project to give detailed addresses to households in crisis was carried out for the first time in the country in February this year after a woman in her 40s died in Jeonju, North Jeolla Province, without receiving welfare support because she did not have a detailed address.

In the case of multi-family houses such as studios where buildings, floors, and houses are not registered in the building register, detailed addresses cannot be used as legal addresses, causing inconvenience such as loss of mail or return, and in the event of a fire, it may be difficult to quickly locate them.

The province selected the target in cooperation with the city and county welfare department and gave detailed addresses to the entire building where the target resides through field surveys.

In addition, we have taken measures to make it easier to locate the location by attaching a detailed address information board.

Detailed addresses can be applied by multi-family homeowners or tenants, or given ex officio by the head of the mayor, county, or ward for convenience of use of road name addresses.
