The "2024 Korea Local Era Expo," which promotes local autonomy policies and shares results, opened yesterday (6th) in Chuncheon, Gangwon Province.
The event, which is the third of its kind after Busan in 2022 and Daejeon last year, will be held for three days until tomorrow (8th), with 17 cities and provinces and seven central ministries participating, including the Office of Education.
At the opening ceremony, President Yoon Suk Yeol congratulated six new regional organizations, including Gangwon-do, Chungcheongnam-do, and North Chungcheong-do.
An exhibition hall related to local autonomy was set up at the Expo site, and coffee festa and drone racing cup competitions will be held as a side event for citizens.
