The Korea Broadcasting Corporation and KBS filed a lawsuit to cancel the Board of Audit and Inspection's decision to refund the excess broadcasting fee, but it was not accepted.

The Seoul Administrative Court today (7th) rejected KBS President Park Min and KBS' decision to dismiss the retrial against the Board of Audit and Inspection.

The court explained that the notification of the Board of Audit and Inspection is just a communication between administrative agencies and cannot be enforced even if KBS does not follow the measures, adding that the lawsuit is inappropriate.

The Board of Audit and Inspection conducted an audit of the KBS license fee in November last year, and notified unregistered TV receiver holders in March of the following year to refund the excess and collected license fees.
