Kim Myung-joo, a professor of information protection at Seoul Women's University, has been appointed as the first director of the Artificial Intelligence Safety Research Institute.
Director Kim Myung-joo is an AI ethics major in computer engineering?As a reliability expert, he served as the head of the Barun AI Research Center, the head of the International AI Ethics Association, and the chairman of the AI Ethics Policy Forum.
In addition, he is an expert manager of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development's Global Artificial Intelligence Partnership (OECD GPAI) and actively participates in international community discussions for sustainable AI development.
Director Kim's term is three years from today.
The Artificial Intelligence Safety Research Institute is an organization that evaluates and studies artificial intelligence safety and cooperates with artificial intelligence safety research institutes in major countries, and will open at Pangyo Global R&D Center this month.
