Daegu Mayor Hong Joon Pyo said he made a recommendation to President Yoon Suk Yeol to give up if the ruling party fails to settle and negotiate with the Democratic Party of Korea to normalize the country.
Mayor Hong attended as a keynote speaker at the regular forum held by the parliamentary research group Population and Climate and Tomorrow, and said that he told the president a month ago that he thought he would become a plant government by the beginning of next year.
He added that the 108 seats of the ruling party are not united and there are people who keep saying things wrong and are falling, adding that he advised them to change everything, including the president's office, and come out in front of the people in a new way in the new year.
Mayor Hong told reporters, "President Yoon is something to be grateful for for coming in as a mercenary and changing the government, but the rest only causes trouble in the party," criticizing the mercenary for continuing to finish the party.
