A (15) accused of wielding a stone ball several times to Bae Hyun-jin, a lawmaker of the People's Power, admitted to the crime but asked for leniency, saying he was in a state of mental and physical loss.

At the first hearing on the special injury charges held at the Seoul Central District Court's Criminal Agreement Department 26 (Chief Judge Lee Hyun-kyung) on the morning of the 13th, A's lawyer said, "We acknowledge and deeply reflect on all the facts," but added, "[If you look at the medical records], it seems to be a judgment of mental and physical loss, such as impaired judgment and decision-making ability."

The lawyer said, "We are receiving drug treatment with active support from our parents. If it is forcibly accepted as treatment and supervision, there is a concern that it may negatively affect mental and physical disabilities," he said, asking the prosecution to dismiss the request for treatment and supervision.

In addition, a closed trial was requested for the psychological pressure that A would experience, but the court refused to accept it.

Representative Bae's representative said, "I want to receive a price equivalent to what I did," adding that he had no intention of reaching an agreement.

A was put on trial in September on charges of hitting Bae with stones 15 times at a building in Sinsa-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, on January 25, causing injuries of three weeks before treatment. The prosecution also requested treatment and supervision for A. The next trial will be held on the 21st.
