This morning, the computer system of the Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education, which can check the identities of CSAT students who left their identification cards, once had some access problems.

The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education said that it can go through the identification process by bypassing the system, but it was restored just before the SAT exam.

I'll connect with the reporter and find out.

Reporter Yoon Tae-in, please tell us more.

The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education's educational administration information system Nice has been found to have had some disruptions in its access since this morning.

Nice is a computerized system that allows faculty and staff to access information such as student records, and can only be accessed from the computer of an educational institution.

In today's College Scholastic Ability Test, students who did not bring their ID cards or test tags can be identified through Nice.
At the
school test site, there was a failure to access Nice directly.

The faculty member in charge of identifying the test takers said in a phone call with YTN that Nice was embarrassed by some computer problems,
The Department of Education
explained that it received a failure report at 7:25 a.m.

The recovery has been completed as of 8:20 a.m.

The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education explained that even before the restoration, it is possible to access Nice by bypassing it through VPNs that help access the internal computer network from outside.

He also explained that there is no obstacle to the identification of the test takers, and even if it is difficult to identify them right now, they go through the identification process after all the CSATs are over.

Amid confusion in identifying the examinee's identity, the Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education is guiding each test site to access Nice through VPN.

The Ministry of Education said it restored the Nice server by remotely booting it back up and said it was determining the cause of the connection failure.
