In September, the cyber investigation team of the Gyeonggi Southern Police Agency arrested a man in his 20s who posted an article on the Internet saying he would go on a deadly rampage at Yatap Station in Seongnam-si, Gyeonggi-do, and requested an arrest warrant.
Mr. A is accused of posting a message on the bulletin board of an anonymous Internet community site on September 18 that he would carry out a deadly rampage at Yatap Station at 6 p.m. on the 23rd of the same month.
A police investigation revealed that A was an employee of the site, and it was found that he posted to increase the number of visitors and promote the site.
As the police investigated the illegal activities of the site itself, the operator and two employees were also arrested on charges of assisting in uploading various illegal posts, including information on pornographic sites.
