This morning (15th) in Samcheong-dong, Seoul, Lee Joon-hyuk, the main actor in the original TVing series 'Good or Bad Dongjae', met with YTN star to tell the behind-the-scenes story of his work.

Recently, 'Good or Bad Dongjae' has completed the release of all 10 episodes. "Good or Bad Dongjae" is a spin-off drama of the "Secret Forest" series, with only Prosecutor Seo Dong-jae of "Secret Forest" as the main character. This proves that he was so popular. In particular, critics said that Seo Dong-jae was possible because he was Lee Joon-hyuk.

'Sponge Prosecutor' depicts a mud fight between Nam Wan-seong (Park Sung-woong), CEO of Lee Hong Construction, who appears in front of Seo Dong-jae (Lee Joon-hyuk) at the Cheongju District Prosecutors' Office who wants to escape the stigma and reveals the mistakes of the past.

In the interview that day, Lee Joon-hyuk praised his character, who received so much love that "Seodongjae Manias" were formed.

"Dong-jae is a 180-degree different person from me who has a hard time getting attention," he said. "I think many people loved Dong-jae because he has diversity."

"When I take on something, I get stressed about what I have to do. But don't you like Dongjae? I'm jealous and amazed to see that. He said, "The charm of how he likes this like a child and is so straightforward."

I didn't welcome the news of casting 'good or bad Dongjae' from the beginning. Although he has played various roles in his acting career for 20 years, actors Cho Seung-woo and Bae Doo-na were the main characters in "Secret Forest."

Lee Joon-hyuk said, "I'm not the type to like playing the same role again. Also, in "Secret Forest," I was under a lot of pressure because I was in the supporting role, and I called Seung-woo (Cho) and said, 'What should I do?'. I also said, 'I can't do this.' But before I knew it, the article went out and I was filming. Also, the fans wanted this work so much. It is not an exaggeration to say that the fans ordered it," he said.

Earlier, author Lee Soo-yeon of "Secret Forest" drew attention by saying that she did not kill Seo Dong-jae in the play because of Lee Joon-hyuk's handsome appearance.

In response, Lee Joon-hyuk said, "I used to be embarrassed to say it, but I like it these days. But appearance is just a view of an era. It depends on the trend. So if many people say they like it, I think it's good," he said, expressing humility.

"When I was in my 20s, white-faced men were not the trend. Black and bearded styles were popular. But there may be other friends who have similar types of faces to me, so I decided to think good to give them confidence. The former directors said, "Why is her face white?" and made her makeup darker.

Lee Joon-hyuk, who has mainly introduced genre, is set to release SBS's new Friday-Saturday drama "My Perfect Secretary" and special Netflix series "The Square" starting with the release of the movie "Firefighter" on the 4th of next month.
