Greenpeace "climate disaster recovery costs, oil companies pay"

Greenpeace, an international environmental group, protested that major global oil companies that produce fossil fuels should pay to recover from the climate crisis.

Greenpeace activists poured furniture collected from flood-affected areas in front of Eni's headquarters, one of the world's seven largest oil companies, in Rome, Italy, on the 18th local time.

The protester accused fossil fuel producers like Eni of making record profits by emitting carbon while people pay the price of the climate crisis.

Greenpeace argued that even a small tax collection from the world's seven largest oil companies could increase the U.N. Climate Disaster Damage Recovery Fund, which aims to raise 700 million dollars now and 970 billion won in our money, by 20 times.
