2024.11.19 AM 11:53
Telegram, which has been cited as a major distribution channel for illegal information, has designated a youth protection officer and opened a hotline for business communication at the request of the Korea Communications Commission.

The Korea Communications Commission previously designated a youth protection officer to strengthen Telegram's self-regulation on the 7th and asked him to reply to the results.

In response, Telegram designated and notified a youth protection officer within two days and also delivered a hotline email address for administrative communication.

The Korea Communications Commission explained that Telegram seems to be checking the recent domestic media trends, and that the email sent to check the hotline function was also responded in four hours.

In the future, he said, we plan to consult with Telegram to smoothly perform the task of blocking and managing harmful information for youth.
