Yesterday (19th), the police, the Ministry of Employment and Labor, and the National Institute of Science conducted an on-site inspection at Hyundai Motor's Ulsan plant where three researchers died in a suffocation accident.
Police and other related agencies mobilized 45 people for seven hours from 10:30 a.m. today to focus on work negligence and facility problems to find the cause of the accident.
Police say they investigated the entire facility, weighing suffocation caused by exhaust gas, as the accident occurred in an enclosed space testing vehicle performance.
He also explained that the researchers investigated the environment to make the same, such as temperature and humidity, at the time of their death.
Hyundai Motor's Ulsan plant has more than five full-time employees, and the Ministry of Employment and Labor is looking into violations of the Serious Accident Punishment Act.
Earlier, at around 3:20 p.m. yesterday, three researchers who suffocated in an enclosed space testing vehicle performance were found and taken to a hospital, but all died.
The place where the accident occurred was a place where a vehicle was put in and an extreme environment was created to check the performance, and researchers were found to be in the driver's seat, passenger seat, and back seat of the vehicle at the time.
