The People's Power formed a "trial delay prevention TF" ahead of the first trial of the perjury teacher case of Lee Jae-myung, chairman of the Democratic Party of Korea.
TF, which held its first meeting behind closed doors today (20th) to discuss practical issues such as activity plans, plans to focus on monitoring the two appeals cases expected in connection with the trial of violation of the Public Official Election Act, which was sentenced to the first trial on the 15th, and the perjury teacher trial, which is scheduled to be sentenced to the 25th.
Joo Jin-woo, chairman of the party's legal advisory committee, emphasized that although the Public Official Election Act case is stipulated to be sentenced to the first trial within six months, we will thoroughly monitor whether there is any delay in the trial by analyzing and disclosing how it took two years and two months for the first trial of Lee's Public Official Election Act.
At the same time, the party's legal advisory committee also submitted an opinion to the Seoul Central District Court requesting a live TV broadcast of the first trial of Lee's perjury teacher case.
