President Yoon Suk Yeol returned home after attending the APEC and G20 summits during his eight-day visit to South America.
Security and economy are among the achievements of this trip.President Yun
criticized Russia's illegal military cooperation with North Korea at every opportunity to speak at multilateral meetings or summit meetings, stressing that they should respond together.
In particular, the G20 pointed out the seriousness of military cooperation between Russia and North Korea in front of the Russian foreign minister and asked him to gather his will at the G20 level.
[Yoon Suk Yeol / President (last 19, first session of the G20): I strongly urge Russia and North Korea to immediately stop illegal military cooperation. I appeal to you to concentrate on your will and actions to protect the international order.]
When he met with the leaders of Vietnam and Canada, he conducted defense "sales diplomacy" and signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in key minerals with Peru, a resource-rich country, to stabilize the supply chain.
In his first meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping in two years, he stressed the need to accelerate investment negotiations for free trade agreement services, and is said to have turned the relationship between the two countries into a thaw.
[Yoon Suk Yeol / President (Last 16th, Korea-China Summit)] I hope that we will further strengthen cooperation in the economic field, which has been the central axis of bilateral relations over the past 30 years, and promote the people's livelihoods of both countries.]
President Yoon, who returned to Korea, is expected to be briefed on the personnel files that have been verified for personnel reorganization, which is considered a priority for the renewal of state affairs.
Some predict that a double-digit mid-term reshuffle will be carried out around the middle of next month, with Prime Minister Han Deok-soo and other ministers who have served more than two years in office.
In addition, measures for small business owners and self-employed people are expected to be announced this month as an implementation plan to overcome polarization presented as a keyword for state affairs.
The presidential office is considering whether President Yoon will directly explain how to resolve the income and education imbalance by delaying the "dialogue with the people," which was expected to be at the end of this month, to early next year.
