Hyundai Motor and Kia Motors participated in the LA Auto Show, one of the world's top five auto shows, with new electric vehicle models at the forefront.
Hyundai unveiled its first large electric SUV, the Ionic 9, and the hydrogen-electric concept car, the Innisium, to the public.
Jose Munoz, the global chief operating officer who has been named CEO of Hyundai Motor, said he expects to achieve the highest performance for four consecutive years this year, driven by sales of hybrid and electric vehicles in the U.S. market.
Kia unveiled its high-performance electric vehicle "EV9 GT" for the first time in the world and also introduced a new model of its flagship "Spotage."
