Suspicious object found at Gatwick Airport in London...evacuation of passengers

A suspicious object was found at Gatwick Airport outside London, England, evacuating passengers and a police explosive disposal team was dispatched.

Sussex police said they sent an explosive disposal team as a precautionary measure after receiving a call this morning (22nd) local time that suspicious prohibited items were found in luggage.

Gatwick Airport said it had evacuated passengers from some areas of the terminal as a precautionary measure while investigating the incident.

Gatwick Airport is the second most visited airport in the UK, about 48km south of London.
