2024.11.24 PM 06:20
A missing Israeli rabbi has been found dead in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), local media reported.

Israel's prime minister's office and the foreign ministry said in a statement on the 24th local time that they had found the body of Zvi Kogan, an "anti-Semitic terrorist attack crime."

Israeli foreign intelligence agency Mossad and UAE authorities have also launched an investigation into the Kogan death.

Kogan, who has served in the United Arab Emirates as a dual citizen of Israel and Moldova, disappeared on the afternoon of the 21st.

Israeli intelligence suspects three Uzbek operatives fled to Turkiye after killing Kogan, who was visiting a grocery store.

It is also believed that Iran may have been monitoring Kogan's activities.

Israeli authorities urged their citizens not to travel unnecessarily and advised them to "refrain from showing Israeli symbols in public."
