Russia's foreign ministry said it would respond in all directions if South Korea supplies weapons to Ukraine, warning it could lead to very bad results.
Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrei Rudenko told his state-run Tas news agency that South Korean government officials are further highlighting the issue of sending North Korean troops to step up pressure on Pyongyang.
He then warned that providing weapons that could kill the Russian people would completely destroy the Korea-Russia relationship.
Rudenko also argued that the West is trying to engage South Korea to empower the Zelensky regime, which is trying to make South Korea an accomplice to crimes committed by Western countries.
Earlier, a senior South Korean presidential office official said on the issue of arms aid to Ukraine, "It is also necessary to supplement Ukraine's ability to defend itself if Russia and North Korea do not stop cooperating."
However, he added that the specific weapons aid plan must be heard first by the Ukrainian envoys to know whether it will be supported or not.
