Ukrainian and Russian forces are continuing a disastrous battle as Russia tries to retake Kursk by mobilizing a large number of troops, including North Korean troops, the Wall Street Journal reported.
The Wall Street Journal reported on the 25th local time that the recent battle for control of Kursk has intensified to the highest level in two and a half years, and that Russian infantry are stepping on the body of a comrade.
According to Ukrainian officials, Russia has deployed more than 45,000 troops to Kursk and top-notch units are constantly pouring attacks on Ukrainian forces.
The U.S. government estimates that Russia is causing an average of 1,200 casualties a day on the entire front, including in Kursk, the newspaper said.
Russian forces have reportedly stepped up their offensive, retaking nearly half of the territory Ukraine seized in August in recent weeks.
In response, Ukraine is also waging an all-out war by sending the best brigade to Kursk.
