Infants in postpartum care center died. Mother in her 30s arrested

A mother has been arrested for murdering her child at a postpartum care center.

The Cheongju District Court issued an arrest warrant for A in his 30s, saying there was a risk of fleeing.

A is accused of killing a week-old baby with arm disabilities at a postpartum care center in Heungdeok-gu, Cheongju-si, Chungcheongbuk-do, on the 10th of last month.

Mr. A reportedly stated in a police investigation that the child was dead in a prone position, but it was found in a mobile phone seized by the police that Mr. A and his wife conspired to kill the child.

The police found out that the obstetrician who was in charge of A's delivery also conspired to commit the crime and requested an arrest warrant for murder.

Mr. A's husband, who faces the same charges as his wife, was booked without detention.
