The Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency's public crime investigation team summoned the head of a civic group who accused Han Dong-hoon of running a "comment team" when he was the Minister of Justice this afternoon (26th).
Prior to the police investigation, Kim Han-me, a permanent representative of the Justice Movement, criticized the Minister of Justice for abusing his job authority to run a comment team and systematically manipulate comments for public opinion in his favor.
In addition, the comment team called for a thorough investigation by the police, saying that it severely distorted the freedom of speech and public opinion, which are the basis of democracy, and destroyed the duty of political neutrality.
The suspicion of Han's comment team was raised in July by Jang Ye-chan, former member of the People's Power Youth Supreme Council, who claimed on radio programs and social media that Han had a team that had been managing public opinion since he was the justice minister, but Han has denied it.
Earlier in August, the police called an official of the Cho Kuk Innovation Party once as an accuser to investigate.
