◆ Announcer Park Gui-bin (hereinafter referred to as Park Gui-bin): Living white paper, today we are with Incheon City. I'm sure you all know Pansori <Sugungga>. It is said that the Incheon City Dance Company will present a new creative dance play based on this pansori Sugungga. What kind of work will be born, the main character of this work. Let's call Park Sung-sik's training center in Incheon and talk. Hello, trainer.

◇Park Sung-sik, Incheon Dance Company Training Center (hereinafter referred to as Park Sung-sik): Hello.

◆Park Gui-bin: Our trainer is also the main character of this work, what role does the training center play?

◇Park Sung-sik: To put it simply, the role of a training ground is that if you look at the national soccer team or basketball professional baseball, there is a coach under the coach. The training ground is playing the role of a coach.

◆Park Gui-bin: I see. Our training director Park Sung-sik, who plays the role of coach for a new creative dance play. The title of the work is "Water Castle Rabbit Escape", can you first introduce what kind of work it is?

◇Park Sung-sik: It is a dance play created by the five generations of pansori by adding a modern sense to the basic breathing and dance of Korean dance based on the story of Sugungga and Byeoljubujeon.

◆Park Gui-bin: Dance drama, what exactly genre should I consider it?

◇Park Sung-sik: As those who have experienced dance a lot now know, there are points where it is difficult for body language to be easily transmitted as it is expressed with the body. It's a form of play that tries to convey those parts more clearly to the audience. Since it contains the story of dance, it is a form of work that makes it easier for many people to understand and meet dance.

◆Park Gui-bin: Come to think of it, Water Castle, it's Su-gung Palace. You said it is a modern recreation of the story of Sugungga in dance, what are the characteristics?

◇Park Sung-sik: The story of this performance originated from the classics, but it is also the story of the present. If Sugungga becomes the current story, I think he will become an employee of Water Castle Co., Ltd., not a servant of Yonggung, a housewife, and Yongwang will become a CEO. I think the rabbit in the mountain is this character of the MZ generation rabbit. But it's the same thing that it's hard to live in a long time ago or in today's Korea or in a rough world. In the classics, you can read the story of your own life, not filial piety or loyalty. I think this can bring sympathy from many people living today. In addition, this performance starts with a classic, but the dance has a very modern image, and in our performance, literally, 'the table also dances.' The characteristic of this work is the novelty of the combination of classic and modernity.

◆Park Gwi-bin: I'm so excited to see you dance to even the table. What kind of scene would you pick if you picked the best scene in this work?

◇Park Sung-sik: The scene where I come out is fun, of course, but there's a place where the high tide white people share their opinions, and there's a part that choreographed this scene as a company meeting scene. The high tide white officers, who are depicted like office workers in suits, cross the grand theater and perform the dance of group dancers with a large table. Through acrobatic movements and dynamic techniques, you can see that Korean dance is so broad. I think that would be the best scene.

◆Park Gui-bin: The best scene. The high tide white officers are doing a group dance together.

◇ Park Sung-sik: Yes. Dance with the table.

◆Park Gui-bin: table and acrobatic movements. I think we really need to see it in person. Listening to the explanation makes me look forward to it and imagine it. I hope you can see it in person. What should I focus on in order to enjoy this work a little more?

◇Park Sung-sik: Basically, the quality of the dancers' movement dance is so high that you can look forward to it. The high-level, acrobatic techniques that dancers use. Then let's say it's a very sharp group dance. The dynamic group dance is also very clear and distinct and interesting, and the acting of these characters, such as rabbits, turtles, and dragon kings, and the reinterpretation of the original work that evokes sympathy from the audience are the points to watch. The rabbit that runs around the stage without a break, the new character's slow but not turtle-like goal, and the rabbit and turtle's tiki-taka are very interesting. I think the scene where the dance, acting, and sword dance go well is the main part that the audience can enjoy.

◆Park Gui-bin: From cool group dance to fun character acting, it can be a meaningful gift for the whole family at the end of the year. Does Incheon City Dance Company end the year like this?

◇ Park Sung-sik: No. There will be another performance right after this work is over. At the end of the year, we are preparing a work consisting of traditional Korean dances on December 20th.

◆Park Gui-bin: You are preparing a variety of performances, from creative dance to traditional dance Hanmadang. Lastly, please watch our performance. Please promote it.

◇ Park Sung-sik: Yes, we are always reporting on the performance on Instagram or Facebook of Incheon City Dance Company, and if you register as Kakao Talk Talk Friend, you can receive various news. Oh, and if you become a friend, there are occasional discount coupons for performances and gifticons such as new gifts, so please participate.

◆Park Gwibin: I see. It's a dance play by the Incheon City Dance Company that you can meet on the stage of the National Theater. <Water Castle Rabbit Escape> I hope those who like the performance don't miss it at the end of the year. This has been Park Sung-sik's training ground of Incheon City Dance Company. Thank you.
