The People's Power criticized the Democratic Party of Korea as a "budget hostage crisis" with a large number of seats, considering a plan to deal with the reduction that does not require government consent if next year's budget negotiations fail.
Floor spokesman Park Joon-tae said in a commentary, "After Representative Lee Jae-myung's pledge to put the lives of the people first, the dual attitude of only political strife and bulletproofness continues without turning a blind eye to the people's livelihoods."
He then pointed out that the damage caused by the Democratic Party's "budget abuse" and "budget hostage-taking" will be entirely to the people.
He also expressed concern that the Democratic Party of Korea's significant cut in the budget for special activities for investigating various crimes of people's livelihoods, including deepfakes and digital sex crimes, would expose the public to crime risks.
