Last September, President Yoon Suk Yeol visited Seoul St. Mary's Hospital, where quintuplets born as the first natural pregnancy in Korea are hospitalized.
President Yoon, who held a meeting with parents and medical staff of the quintuplets, said he was born prematurely and expressed his special feelings for an early child.

{President Yoon said that the number of premature births is increasing, and that he will greatly strengthen support as he has to be hospitalized for a long time in the intensive care unit immediately after birth.
First of all, it was decided to double the limit on medical expenses for early children and raise the maximum amount to 20 million won.
In addition, two central severe centers will be established to provide treatment for critically ill mothers and newborns, and an integrated treatment system will be established to strengthen their treatment and compensation for high-level surgery.

The president's office recently announced that it will support the "non-marriage birth" triggered by actor Jung Woo-sung's out-of-marriage birth without discrimination.
Currently, the government's childcare policy is based on children, so it has nothing to do with whether parents are married or not, and if there is anything missing in supporting children born in single-parent families, we will supplement it.
President Yoon, who has come up with measures to supplement the low birth rate, plans to continue his public welfare policy steps to overcome the polarization by meeting with small business owners early next week and announcing measures to prevent no-show.
