The Seocho Police Station in Seoul forcibly repatriated a man in his 30s on charges of demanding billions of won in virtual currency from a law firm, saying it would distribute hacked information on the 26th.
Mr. A is accused of threatening a large domestic law firm in August to give him 30 bitcoins because he stole internal data through hacking and then running abroad.
As a result of the law firm's own investigation, it was found that there was no actual hacking damage.
The police are planning to investigate the details of the incident against A.
