A man in his 50s who followed a foreign woman and forcibly molested her in Cheongju, North Chungcheong Province, was handed over to the prosecution.
Cheongju Cheongwon Police Station said on the 28th that it sent A without detention on charges of forced harassment and home invasion under the Sexual Violence Punishment Act.
Earlier, A is accused of following B, an Australian woman in her 20s, into the common front door of the villa where she lives at around 5:40 p.m. on July 2 and touching her body, saying, "Let's drink together."
The police, who were dispatched after receiving B's report, arrested A as the current offender.
As a result of the investigation, it was found that A secretly followed B, who had been paying attention to, when he encountered him at a mart near his house on the same day.
A is said to have told the police, "I tried to be a friend because I thought a foreign woman would be lonely in a strange country alone."
