Seo said, "The Japanese Meteorological Agency has marked Dokdo as 'Takeshima' (the name of Dokdo claimed by Japan)," adding, "In the event of an earthquake, tsunami, and typhoon warnings, many Japanese netizens visit the Korea Meteorological Administration site, which can lead to a misconception about Dokdo."

Also, foreign media and Korean media often report on the map of the Japan Meteorological Administration, he added, "We have continued to protest due to the use of photographs marked with Japanese soil, but it has not been corrected."

Earlier, the Japan Meteorological Agency announced that a 6.4 magnitude earthquake occurred in the western sea of the Noto Peninsula in Ishikawa Prefecture at 10:47 p.m. on the 26th.
