2024.11.29 AM 11:53
The Seocho Police Station in Seoul forcibly repatriated a man in his 30s from abroad on charges of demanding billions of won worth of virtual currency from a law firm, saying it would disseminate hacked information.

Mr. A, who had been placed on Interpol's red list, was arrested by the police after being arrested and repatriated from Thailand on the 27th.

Mr. A is accused of threatening a large domestic law firm to release 30 bitcoin in August, saying that he had stolen internal data through hacking, and running abroad.

According to the law firm's own investigation, there was no actual hacking damage.
