SK Group Chairman Chey Tae-won will step down as chairman of the Korea Handball Association, which he has kept for 16 years.
Chairman Choi will only serve as chairman until February next year, when his fourth term is completed, and will not run in the next election.
Chairman Choi, who took office in 2008, supported handball with more than 150 billion won through the group, leading the construction of a handball stadium, the establishment of a men's and women's business team, and the launch of the H League.
Kwak No-jung, CEO of SK Hynix, is expected to run for the next chairman of the association in January next year.
