[Incheon] From next month to March next year, the fine dust seasonal management system will be implemented.

Incheon City has decided to implement a seasonal management system to strengthen fine dust management from next month to March next year.

During the period, Incheon City will strengthen the protection of citizens' health, reduction and management of key emission sources in the industrial and transportation sectors, and the provision of fine dust information to promote countermeasures.

First of all, vehicles with level 5 emissions will be restricted from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. on weekdays by using an unmanned crackdown system, and a fine of 100,000 won per day will be imposed for violations.

Sprinklers and dust inhalers will be deployed in 72 sections, including roads in high traffic areas or industrial complexes, and a flying dust collection system will be installed and operated.

It also decided to operate a fine dust monitoring team to strengthen monitoring of illegal environmental pollution emissions and operate a remote monitoring system for the Internet of Things (IOT) along with joint public-private inspections.

The fine dust seasonal management system has been in effect since 2019 to effectively curb the concentration of ultrafine dust, which rises from December to March.
