In Helio City, a large apartment complex in Garak-dong, Songpa-gu, Seoul, more than 1,000 households have been cut off from heating and hot water for three days, causing inconvenience to residents in the cold wave.
On the afternoon of the day before yesterday (28th), it was confirmed that 1,357 households in nine buildings were cut off from heating and hot water supply as a fire broke out in a heat exchange room underground in Helio City Complex 2 and some of the panels burned.
Residents explained that it is most inconvenient not to have hot water in YTN, and that they boil water one by one for their elementary school children and use it to wash their bodies.
The management office has provided free access to internal saunas to affected households and lent radiators to provide heating support, and the restoration work is expected to be completed as early as today (30th).
