The development of L-SAM (L-SAM), a long-range surface-to-air guided weapon called Korean THAAD, has been completed and mass production will begin next year.

When mass production begins in earnest, it will be deployed in two to three years, and the Korean-style missile defense system will be completed with pure domestic technology after 10 years of development.

A target missile, a hypothetical North Korean missile, rises into the sky from a mobile launcher installed on an uninhabited island.

Soon after, L-SAM interceptors are also launched with sparks from hundreds of kilometers away at sea.

With the test-launch of L-SAM called 'Korean-style THAAD', it has been decided to complete the development of its own system and start mass production next year after 10 years of development.The

L-SAM is a defensive weapon that intercepts enemy ballistic missiles at an altitude of 40 to 60 kilometers, and is known to be capable of intercepting up to 80 kilometers in the case of aircraft.

If deployed in practice within two to three years, the existing Heavenly Palace II and Patriot III will be able to defend the lower floors under 40km, and the upper floors above that will be able to build a tighter multi-layered defense network using L-SAM and THAAD.The 'Korean-style missile defense system' that constitutes a three-axis system along with the

kill chain and mass retaliation will be completed, and the United States and Israel are known to have developed weapons with such performance.
