Factories, greenhouses, and barns collapsed in the snow due to record-breaking November snow.

Gyeonggi-do Province has suffered more than 5,000 damage to facilities, and it is expected to take a considerable amount of time to recover.

Reporter Kim Yi-young's report.

The snow is piled up on the roof where I lost my shape and sat down.

The 650-square-meter temporary building collapsed on the first night of heavy snow on the 27th of last month.

As you can see, the pillar collapsed as if it would be pulled out, and the reinforcement was bent.

The snow on the collapsed ceiling is still piled up without melting.

The equipment was also not cleaned at all, so it is the same as it was at the time of the accident.

No one was hurt because the worker ran outside just before the collapse, but recovery is a problem.

It takes only two months to clear the debris and rebuild the building, causing severe disruptions in production plans.

[Kim Sang-seon / Factory CEO: When I got the estimate, he asked for 100 million won. It's only been two and a half years.... It will take two months to build the same.]

It's another factory about 10km away.

It was a place where a temporary building to store recycled soil stood, but now there is no trace left."

The demolition has been completed, but there is also a long way to go before restoration.

I'm glad there weren't any casualties, but it's hard to handle the impact of the disaster a year after the start of the business.

[Kim Ki-young / CEO of a nearby factory: It's been more than a year since we started the business, and now we're in the leap stage, and it feels like the sky is suddenly collapsing....]

The first heavy snow in 117 years has caused more than 5,400 damage to facilities in Gyeonggi-do so far.

As reports continue to increase, the Ministry of Public Administration and Security has also set up a "Restoration Countermeasures Support Headquarters" and is considering declaring a special disaster zone.
