In connection with the Democratic Party of Korea's push to impeach the command of the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office, Jeong Jin-woo, head of the Seoul Northern District Prosecutors' Office, also asked to reconsider the impeachment discussion.

Prosecutor Chung posted on the prosecution's internal network E-Pros this morning (2nd) and pointed out, "The attempts to impeach the prosecutors who investigated certain cases in the National Assembly are continuing according to their political interests."

He then criticized that excessive impeachment because he did not like the investigation and disposition would be contrary to the nature of impeachment and that the exclusion of work would paralyze the prosecution's function and damage the people.

Prosecutor Chung urged the National Assembly to reconsider the impeachment discussion, saying that it is in line with the constitutional principle of separation of powers to resolve criminal justice issues within the criminal justice system.

The Democratic Party of Korea is seeking to impeach three prosecutors, including Lee Chang-soo, the chief of the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office, Cho Sang-won, the fourth prosecutor, and Choi Jae-hoon, the second head of the anti-corruption investigation, for the acquittal of Kim Gun-hee in the Deutsche Motors stock price manipulation case.

In this regard, deputy prosecutors at the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office, senior prosecutors, and deputy prosecutors have issued a series of collective statements to protest the impeachment drive.
