[Gyeongbuk] North Gyeongsang Province to review measures to support children born out of wedlock...Proposals for System Improvement

Gyeongsangbuk-do is considering ways to provide practical support for unmarried children.

First of all, we plan to shift the support target of the low birth rate policy from parents and legal marriage to child-centered, and to improve social awareness of non-married babies.

In addition, for normal support for families outside of marriage, we will propose to the government the introduction of a 'companion family registration system' that recognizes legal status as parents to cohabitants who have given birth to children and request legislation from the National Assembly.
