"I don't know what I'm asking you to apologize for."

Dongduk Women's University has rejected the student council's demand to apologize for the transition to co-educational science as a condition for lifting the occupation of the main building.

The school issued a statement and said, "It is a ridiculous situation in which the person who used violence against the opposition demands an apology from the university."

In response to the student council's request to normalize attendance records for students who refuse classes, he made it clear that the attendance process should be objective and strict as it is directly linked to credits.

In particular, he pointed out that the image and status of the university have fallen into the abyss due to illegal activities, blocking the path to employment and forcing most students who did not attend the protests to bear social prejudice and disadvantages.

At the same time, he warned that the longer the occupation, the heavier the responsibility will become, saying he would hold the student council and other students strictly accountable.

Earlier, the school filed a complaint with the police against the students who led the protest, including the president of the student council, on charges of communal property damage, and filed a court request for eviction and prohibition of obstruction of business, saying that the occupation of the main building disrupted the entrance examination and academic administration.

Then, the student council apologized for the school's push for the transition to co-educational technology and said it would consider lifting the occupation of the main building if it realized democratic decision-making, but the school did not accept it.

In addition, the school said it is estimated to cost up to 5.4 billion won to restore school facilities damaged by lacquer and others, and that it could even consider claiming damages against students depending on the results of the police investigation.

It is also predicted that the amount of damage may be even greater if the damage caused by building repairs, cleaning, and job fairs are added together.

After receiving the school's complaint, the police said they will specify the personal information of 19 of the 21 defendants and look into whether external forces are involved.

Amid the ongoing police investigation, there is a strong confrontation between Dongduk Women's University and the student council, including the possibility of a civil lawsuit.
