Major indexes have broken their highs as the New York Stock Exchange continues to strengthen, led by large tech stocks.
On the New York Stock Exchange, the S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite rose 0.24% and 0.97% respectively.
The S&P 500 broke new highs for the second day of trading following the previous trading day last week, while the Nasdaq Composite broke its three-week high since the 11th of last month.
The Dow closed 0.29% lower than the previous session.
Tesla rose 3.46% on news of the rollout of an upgraded version of its self-driving software, while Amazon rose 1.36% as spending increased over the Thanksgiving holiday.
The index is increasingly higher in the market at a time when stocks are strong seasonally, but it is unlikely to see an explosive rally.
