As the weather gets colder, there must be a lot of people preparing kimchi.
Now, in Ulsan, kimchi-making events are being held to convey special meaning.
There is a YTN issue reporter on the scene. Reporter Lee Minjae.
[Reporter]
Yes, it's at Munsu Baseball Stadium in Ulsan.

The kimjang event is being held in a very big way.
[Reporter]
Yes, it is.
Next to me are Minister of Public Administration and Security Lee Sang-min and Ulsan Mayor Kim Doo-gyeom.
Let's talk about the
event with Mayor Kim Doo-gyeom first.
Hello, sir.
Hello, Mayor.
I'll talk to the mayor first.
Can you say something to the meaning of this event and those who prepared it?
[Kim Dugyeom/ Mayor of Ulsan Metropolitan City]
I am very happy to have a kimchi-making party in the name of national integration and national harmony in Ulsan, our industrial capital and corporate city.
Despite your busy schedule, Minister Lee Sang-min of the Ministry of Public Administration and Security, Song and other officials from 17 cities and provinces joined us to make this kimchi event.
I think it's really meaningful.
I hope that making kimchi with the warmth of Ulsan citizens today will give hope to our neighbors in need.
Once again, I would like to thank the volunteers who came to Ulsan and everyone who joined me.
[Reporter]
Mr. Mayor, thank you for your words today.
Now let me ask the Minister.
Please tell us how you feel about participating in the event and if you have any future plans for the Ministry of Public Administration and Security.
[Lee Sang-min / Minister of Public Administration and Security]
Kimjang is a representative traditional culture in Korea that practices sharing directly while feeling a bond with family and neighbors.
I think this kimjang event, in which the central and local governments, private and government participate together, will be a good opportunity to convey warmth to our society and to convey the message of sharing, coexistence and integration.
The Ministry of Public Administration and Security plans to conduct a variety of volunteer activities from this month, when Volunteer Day and Donation Day are together, to February next year, by collecting donations during the year-end and New Year holidays and supporting vulnerable people to spend a warm winter.
We ask for your interest and participation so that warm warmth can be evenly delivered to Korea. Thank you.
[Reporter]
Thank you, Minister, for your words today.
The 2024 National Integration Kimchi Event, which will be held here at Munsu Baseball Stadium in Ulsan, is also joined by local companies and officials and volunteers from 17 cities and provinces nationwide.
Here, we're going to make kimchi with 6,000 heads of cabbage.
A total of 32,000 kimchi, including 6,000 kimchi made here, are delivered to social welfare facilities and underprivileged people, including cities and provinces across the country.
In addition, you can also see 'Kimjangdog', which serves as a gatekeeper to protect the taste of kimchi when there was no refrigerator.
There is also a time to feel the style and taste of traditional Onggi while looking at Ulsan's kimjang jar.
As the kimchi-making season approaches, there must be a lot of people who are out of winter.
I hope you have a warm winter at heart.
I'm Lee Minjae of YTN at Munsu Baseball Stadium.
