University students gather in Sinchon to call for impeachment

The "Joint Action of the National University Student Council" held a rally yesterday (13th) afternoon in Yonsei-ro, Sinchon, Seodaemun-gu, Seoul, calling for the resignation of President Yoon Suk Yeol.

Students announced a joint declaration of the situation involving students from 44 universities across the country, saying they had dropped their final exam studies and went on the streets during the exam period.

They criticized Yonsei-ro in front of Sinchon Station as a symbol of the democratic uprising in June 1987, saying, "The president and those involved in martial law who violated the constitution to divide the country should step down and hold them accountable as soon as possible."
