The year-end atmosphere in Ulsan was frozen due to the impeachment following the martial law incident.

Restaurant districts are not enjoying the year-end special they expected as reservations have been canceled and sales in the distribution industry have shrunk.

A busy street in Nam-gu, Ulsan, where hundreds of citizens gather every evening to continue their rallies.

Banners related to the rally were hung around the Christmas tree, which created a year-end atmosphere.

Restaurants that expected the year-end party to continue are also in a different situation this year.

The reservation rate is lower than in previous years, and even reservations already scheduled are being canceled.

[Restaurant owner: There's a lot of talk about impeaching him after martial law broke out. Suddenly, the customer said, 'I'm sorry to cancel this time as the situation is in a state of affairs.' Is there anything you can do about it? I'm just going to accept it.]

Even among citizens, there is a growing atmosphere of refraining from year-end gatherings.

[Citizen: There was a meeting in early December, but it's gone. Because of the president's actions, I'm a little cautious about promises and things like this.

The year-end special is missing as the already frozen economy overlaps with the impeachment.

Consumer sentiment was greatly reduced during the impeachment of former President Park Geun Hye in the past.

At the end of 2016, when the impeachment bill of former President Park Geun Hye passed the National Assembly.

In the period leading up to the Constitutional Court's impeachment decision, Ulsan's consumer sentiment shrank sharply.

In fact, sales at a large supermarket in Ulsan fell 2.5% year-on-year earlier this month after martial law was declared.

[Department store official: I'm worried that the impeachment and distribution will probably shrink consumer sentiment. That's the situation, so we'll have to wait and see for now.]

Currently, the economy is continuously deteriorating due to prolonged high prices and high interest rates.

In addition to the political bad news, a red light was lit on Ulsan's year-end special.
