A poll shows that a majority of Americans are optimistic about the administration of U.S. President-elect Donald Trump's second term in office.
According to a poll of 1,011 adults in the U.S. from the 5th to the 8th by CNN and pollster SSRS, 52% of respondents said they were "enthusiastic" or "optimistic" about the prospect of the next administration.48% of respondents said
were 'reluctant' or 'nervous', and the survey had a margin of error of ±3.8 percentage points.
"Optimists expect Trump to improve the economy, and pessimists were very concerned about Trump's character," CNN said.
In terms of confidence by policy sector, the economy was well-received by more than half of respondents, with 65%, the war in Ukraine with 62%; immigration policy with 60%; foreign policy with 55%; and administration appointments with 54%.
