There are times when immigrants living abroad who are unfamiliar with cultures and institutions need legal assistance,

So Korean lawyers who share life, culture, and language are often a great help to Korean immigrants.

Korean lawyers from all over the world gathered in Toronto, Canada to share information and exchange.

Reporter Jung Young-ah will tell you what it looked like.

People who talk with serious faces from early morning,

Korean lawyers working in the legal field around the world gathered in Toronto for the first time. This is to attend the General Assembly of the Korean Bar Association of the World under the theme of

{Power of Community'.

[Kim Eui-chul / Immigration lawyer: Some people are from Dubai or New Zealand, many from the U.S. and many from Korea, so that bond is very strong]

In the forum, which reflects various concerns such as artificial intelligence, international law and trade law,

Share your experiences, have a conversation, and get the opportunity to go one step further as a global legal professional.

[Kim Kwon-hoe, President of the International Association of Korean Lawyers: We aim to solve the problems facing each community together and help our Korean lawyers use their power and abilities for those in need around the world.]

The organization, which became a networking venue among Korean lawyers, first began in 1988.

It was led by the late lawyer Moon In-gu, who was the president of the Korean Bar Association at the time, that a small number of Korean lawyers gathered to share their experiences and knowledge with each other.

Now, it has grown into an association where more than 3,000 Korean lawyers share information and help each other in business.

In particular, we are supporting the next generation of lawyers by continuing various activities to cultivate juniors such as internships and mentor activities.

[Ashley Chung / President of the Korean Bar Association of Canada] The Korean Bar Association helped me a lot and gave me a lot of advice in the early stages of my career and as a student. I thought I should give it back to the community because I got a lot of help when I was a student.]

In addition to events held overseas, Korean lawyers continue to meet in their home countries every two years,

I wonder what topics will emerge as an issue at next year's Seoul General Assembly.
