The prosecution, which is investigating the emergency martial law incident, is forcibly arresting and investigating former Defense Minister Kim Yong-hyun for refusing to comply with the summons.

Former Minister Kim Yong-hyun's lawyer said he was forcibly taken into custody at 10 a.m. today (16th) when he refused to comply with the summons of the special investigation headquarters of the prosecution's emergency martial law.

Prosecutors have notified the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office of the order of an inch against former Minister Kim, who is in prison at the Seoul Eastern Detention Center and are investigating it.

Prosecutors earlier reportedly called in former Minister Kim, who is under arrest yesterday (15th), to investigate whether he had ever ordered the Joint Chiefs of Staff to "shoot the dirt balloon and hit it from the ground up."

The Joint Chiefs of Staff said it had never received such an order, but since it was confirmed that a statement discussion on the strike from the origin led by former Minister Kim was recently conducted at the Joint Chiefs of Staff. It is interpreted as an investigation into intentional provocations.

Prosecutors are looking into whether President Yoon's remarks at the promotion ceremony of Yeo In-hyeong, commander of the National Defense Command, Kwak Jong-geun, commander of the Army Special Forces Command, and Lee Jin-woo, commander of the Capital Defense Command, who were promoted to lieutenant general in November last year, are also related to martial law.
