In the process of delivering documents for President Yoon's impeachment trial...concerns of delays in proceedings

It has been confirmed that President Yoon Suk Yeol has not received the National Assembly's impeachment motion sent by the Constitutional Court so far.

The Constitutional Court said in a briefing today (17th) that the president's office has not confirmed the receipt, and explained that the National Assembly's impeachment resolution, hearing preparation deadline, and attendance requests are still being served.

The Constitutional Court yesterday (16th) tried to deliver it in three ways: personal, daily express mail, and electronic document system, but it demanded to submit a response by the 23rd on the condition of receiving it on the same day.

However, as the delivery of documents is delayed, the deadline for submitting answers is expected to be delayed.President

Yoon has not yet submitted an attorney's appointment, but there is a possibility that it will go around once even if a lawyer does not appear in the preparation process on the 27th.

The Constitutional Court said that the court is discussing whether it can sentence the impeachment trial with three people vacant, adding that "there have been cases in the past appointed by Acting President Hwang Kyo-ahn" on whether Acting President Han Deok-soo can exercise his right to appoint.

The Constitutional Court added that it will hold a regular judge's review on the 19th and discuss the president's impeachment if necessary.
