Suspicion of preferential treatment for development of Soje District's Yeosu City Hall was raided.

The Jeonnam Police Agency raided the Public Development Division, the department in charge of Yeosu City Hall, today (18th) in connection with the suspicion of preferential treatment for the Yeosu Soje district development project.

The police, who have been conducting an internal investigation following accusations that there was preferential treatment in the process of selecting a housing site developer, plan to secure business documents and computer hard disks in the search and seizure, and investigate allegations of corruption in the company selection process.

The Yeosu Soje District Development Project is being promoted by Yeosu City with the aim of spending 215 billion won to move in more than 3,000 households.
